The road I will be taking
So I am supposed to share 16 things about myself.. here we go!
1) I learned how to drive when I was 27 (so just a couple of years ago 
). I really didn’t need a car before then.
2) I was told that I speak really fast. That puzzles people who are not familiar with foreign accents when they hear me speaking English because they don’t have a clue about what I’m saying :>
3) I have been reading comic books ever since I could read (but I don’t like Peanuts or Tex – an Italian comic book.. a dire il vero Tex mi fa proprio schifo :>)
4) I tore my ACL playing soccer (at which I was never very good but since I am fast and you have to shoot me before I give up a ball, I always managed to be a decent defender). That was the last time I played.
5) My first trip abroad was to Belgium with my dad when I was 10. The food was so "dissatisfying" that, one day for lunch, he took me to a Pizzeria :> That was also the first time I was on a plane.
6) I do not eat anything that comes out of the water, that being fish, shellfish, mollusk or seaweed. It’s not a strange religion… I just can’t eat it… never did :>
7) I do eat pasta, pizza and focaccia, which are my favorite foods… together with whipped cream which I can’t resist!
8) I read The Lord of the Rings in the first year of high school (I borrowed it from my friend Corrado) in a weekend. I read 18 hours a day for 3 days. I think I didn’t read anything else for a month, not even a bus ticket :>
9) I used to dress only in black (an exceptional day was when I wore grey :>) for most of my high school years. And my hair was straight and vertical.. punk rock style :>
10) One of the sweetest thing somebody ever did for me was to whip some whipping cream (panna in Italian) as a surprise, completely out of the blue, just because I love it.
11) I curse a lot (in Italian) when I play tennis and I make stupid mistakes.. very loudly too at times. And I got a warning one time at a tournament because the referee knew the key Italian curse words :>
12) One time I had a severe stomachache caused by my appendix being inflamed. My brother tried to cure me with an antacid… I am glad I didn’t die (ti ricordi, Anto? A Firenze :>)
13) Ironically, the first time I went inside a hospital was to visit my brother after his appendectomy. My parents sneaked me in because I was too young :>
14) 97% of the music I listen to is British alternative/indie music.
15) I have watched Airplane! more than 20 times and I find something new every time.
16) I walked at full speed into the glass door of the restaurant where my brother used to work because I didn’t notice it was closed. Every customer turned around to look what the heck happened. My friend Paolo still laughs about it.
Purple Mosaic Ring
Here’s another mosaic jewelry experiment for me. I used a silver-plated jewelry blank for a base along with silicone glue. I finished it off first with purple grout but it just kind of washed out the purple millefiori and tile so I changed to black grout.
